Now that your DataFrame is connected to the Macintosh, you are ready to start. Because the DataFrame comes with a System folder already on it, you can start up directly from the hard disk.
ΓÇó Turn on the DataFrame. The green light on the front of the DataFrame should come on.
ΓÇó Wait about 10 seconds for the drive to reach full speed.
ΓÇó Turn on your Macintosh. After a few moments, the Macintosh will display the desktop. At this point, startup is complete.
To install your applications and documents on the hard drive, simply copy them by dragging their icons to the hard drive. A hard disk appears as an icon in the Finder, just like a floppy disk, and you can copy files and folders to and from it in exactly the same way as you copy files between floppy disks.
One caution: do not place extra copies of the files "System" and "Finder" on your DataFrame. You should have only one System folder on the drive.
